8~5~2016: Change... It happens!

Today is Friday so first I want to say...

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Ya I'm ridiculous and I know it!

Next I figured that today we would look at opinions that have changed over time for our YouTube family members on the +Texan in Tokyo channel!

This is a good video because it is a cute conversation so it can hold your interest! You should close your eyes and listen to it seeing how much you can remember and understand!

On the topic of lessons... Here is +tomoko tomoko teaching us another lesson!

I'm thinking maybe next time I won't put other posts with the lesson posts... Maybe... Not sure yet... Also no one has said anything about what I said I might include with her lesson sooooo I think I will start next month to do something with it... That means this is the only lesson from her I'm sharing this month! Hope you enjoyed it!

8~4~2016: Throwback Thursday! Yup I made it a thing!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I have often wondered about Japanese traditions... Thankfully one of our YouTube family members has taken the time out to teach us things!

Here are a few videos from +Rachel & Jun that were shot about 4 years ago to teach us all about Japanese traditions!!! I hope you enjoy them!!!

House manners are so important all around the world... I'm sure you have some in your house that others don't have in theirs. Thank you for teaching us these! I know if I ever visit my pen-pal I will study this video so I don't insult her or her family!!!

Now for a decorating tradition! Again this was shot about 4 years ago!

Wow that is so cool! I wish I could do this in my house but I don't have a clue where to start! I like what it signifies too... I want my girls to be protected.... Maybe I'll ask my pen-pal to help me figure this out! Well, I hope you enjoyed this "Throwback Thursday!"

7~28~2016: WOW... Pokemon Go and other fun stuff!

So if you follow +Sharla in Japan at all you know she had been patiently waiting for Pokemon Go to be set loose in Japan! Well she was nice enough to show us all her first day!

Wow... all that in one day!!! I'm slacking... lol. Gatta get my Pokemon Trainer butt in gear!!!

So lets see how someone else does... +Strawberry Mochi has shared her Pokemon adventures with us too! Lets have a look!

So Pokemon Go has been a huge topic everywhere... But some people are not so happy about it...

Just something from me...

I don't usually post many of my Vlog posts here but I think I want to share them so that maybe I can start getting some feedback on them... I really want to improve my editing and video making skills so it's important to get them out there right...

So with that here is a quick post with a few videos from me!

This was the first one I tried making... I figured it would be good to show a baseline so people could judge if I've gotten better or not.

Be honest when watching the next two... I really need constructive criticism to improve.

This one was more a real time talk type thing... I did say in my channel description that sometimes my illnesses would be talked about... Having Fibromyalgia is not easy for any of us that have it... But if talking will give someone hope that  it will be ok when they feel it won't or that they are not alone then it is worth it to put myself out there...

The last one is my channel trailer I made... I'm not sure how it is but I am proud of it!

7~22~2016: Lets learn something new!!! Possible new regular post???

I have decided that I am going to put together a playlist of +tomoko tomoko 's lessons for Japanese! I love how she teaches!!! It's a total immersion! In her introduction to our YouTube family I shared with you her first lesson! Lets take a look at the next one shall we?

So cool! Short and simple! Maybe I should make Friday a Lesson day?? What do you think?

I can show her videos and maybe do a bit of lessons of my own... Like put the words in Hiragana as a vocab list or something like that? Maybe add my own list? Would you like either of those?

For now I'll leave you to ponder the thoughts I've thrown at you!

Today my kids are driving me crazy wanting to go to the park so this will be quick!

7~15~2016: Food... Themed Food... Fake food.... Just food!

I was again thinking about my health this week and have decided to try something... I am going to cut back on the amount of sugar I put in my tea. I know this doesn't sound like a big deal but I love my tea super sweet so for me it is a big deal. I am going from having a cup pf tea that is about 1 1/2 cups with 3 scoops of sugar (a scoop is probably a little more than 1 1/2 tsp.) to just one scoop! YIKES!

I'm going to do this for a minimum of 30 days to see if it has any change on my weight. I don't know if I told you but my weight likes to stay at one amount even if I eat better or exercise more!

7~12~2016: YAY!!! New Peoples!!!!!! It has been confirmed!!!

Lets start with a little YouTube knowledge you probably already know..

I have noticed something while I was fixing a bunch of posts the other day.... I announce that I want to add people to our YouTube family a LOT but very seldom add anyone!

It's really hard to reach a YouTube personality and even harder to get their attention because they have sooooo many fans and soooo much mail to go through. It's a HUGE success when I reach one!

And today is one of those days we get to celebrate that success!

I was so excited last Friday when she told me I could link to her videos and wanted to post about it right away... But... Today is the day I announce things like this... So I waited!

From what I have seen her videos are all in Japanese... I haven't run across one that didn't either explain what it was saying or have CC setup for it so even if you don't know Japanese you can understand it. It's a great place if you are looking for videos that let you hear the common phrases or how words are pronounced and used. Plus she has some videos that teach you things!

Here is one such video... This one is an origami lesson but she tells you some of the Japanese word meanings too... Please don't worry if you don't understand it that well... She puts the instructions and the meanings of the Japanese words off to the side.

Cool right?!?!? Here is a video that is a lesson in Japanese... she puts the vocabulary in the description and you should put CC on so you know what is happening.

It's short and sweet so as to not overload you! There is a whole playlist with lessons in it!

It means "Cat Ear" and is just soooo fun to say!
