OMG a lot has happened!!!

So yeah... Let me start by filling you in a bit... K?

First we had a total meltdown of my life when my therapy dog Lance passed away... I made him a memorial video this week... Here it is...

So even though I feel like I look composed I had to redo this video a few times till I got it right enough I was comfortable posting it. Hope you like the video!

Wow... I can't believe that this didn't post on time... I had it scheduled to post but it didn't happen. So now onto what I wanted to write today... I'm sure you have noticed that I haven't been posting normally... I won't be doing that till the beginning of next week (June 5th) so I can get everything settled. My posts may be a bit more erratic even then though because I am also training a new puppy to be the replacement therapy dog. Hope you can all understand!

I'm going to end the post here...

It's review time!

So for a long time now... I have been using +tomoko tomoko's Japanese lessons... She has a lot more of them out than I have shared!

And now it is time for another....

Today I am going to put the next lesson from the order that I watched them... and after that I am going to link her playlist that it came from!

Bonus time?

OK... Talk time is usually about random things... But this time I thought we should talk about something not so serious! Sort of!

Languages!

This series is one I started on here so that you could learn Japanese a little bit if you wanted to... The thing is... I know how frustrating it can be to learn! I know you see the banner and go... "Oh no not again!" because how are you ever going to memorize everything that was said when you don't even remember the video before... Or any of the vocab from any of the videos!

Well... I didn't think that you would... I have been trying to learn Japanese for YEARS and I still don't remember a lot of things I feel I should... So don't be too hard on yourself.... You are still learning after all! Anyhow... I share the videos not to get you to memorize them but to get you used to hearing the language spoken by a native speaker. It is ok if you don't remember them. You may be surprised that once you stop trying to remember the vocab and just enjoy listening to the language you may end up remembering random words. Also if you took lessons then listening to these is a good review don't you think?

On the topic of learning... +Rachel & Jun put out a video that had a bunch of resources and great advice... Here... I'll put the video for you to see..

I really hope seeing that video and hearing how I have had trouble will help you out... I don't think anyone should give up on learning something if they love it!

I could listen to it all day long... I love how the words are in English too even though it's sang in Japanese... I like to close my eyes and see if I can remember the words for myself but if I get stuck I can look at the video... Soooo... That means that his videos that have the words like this can be a study companion too! Well it can be for me anyhow... Do you think it can for you?

WOOT!!! Our YouTube family gets bigger today!

OK... So this announcement is a bit late. On 4-14-2017 I got an ok from another YouTube personality to share their videos with you... Sooooo...

Abbie Bosworth

+Abbie Bosworth has some really cute and insightful or just fun blog style videos... Oh and she sings and writes music... She did covers and has a poetry playlist... She is all around an interesting person soooo... You should really check her channel out... And... To get you interested I'm going to share some of the videos I like!

Madness rocks! I can say this because I fit what she said... I have madness in my life and if I din't have this blog and now my YouTube channel I don't know how I would handle a lot of things!

In the next video she and her roommate share childhood memories!

I love how it feels like we are sitting in a circle with them and they let us into their little world sharing their thoughts with us... So cool! But it isn't just her openness and the way she makes you feel like your part of her life that is so cool... She talks to you about things you wouldn't normally think about!

Her voice is amazing too! You got a preview in the first video... But you have to hear her sing for real... check out one of her original songs!!!

So as you can see we got a HUGE gem in our YouTube family now! I really hope you check out her channel cause I think it will be worth it to you!

I debated waiting even longer than I did mainly because it would be cool to announce all this on my birthday... Yes it is this month... But the suspense was killing me so I did it now. I hope you can all forgive me for making you wait this long! Anyhow... I'm gonna end this post here!

I don't know about my readers but it makes me happy to know I can try different foods from Japan in the comfort of my own home! If there weren't videos like this I wouldn't know how to cook them! So thanx again! We miss you guys!

Samurai are here... Or are they???

OK... Yeah I know... The title is lacking... But I really am going to talk about samurai... Or... I should say... Some of my YouTube family will!

First up is.... +Sharla in Japan!

I bet you are saying... That is just kendo... Why is it titled "Learn How to Be a Samurai" when it doesn't say anything about it right???

We'll get to that... But first... +Rachel & Jun show us how the samurai movies are wrong... We get to see bits of the real thing...

Now I bet you are realllllly confused... This is Aikido not kendo... So why are you saying both are part of being a samurai? From everything I have been able to put together I have come to my own conclusion that...

You need both to be a Samurai!

That's right! I don't doubt that either of these sports has it's place in the Samurai's history. So if you want to learn to be a Samurai I would say you should start by trying to become a master in one of these sports!
